Rehabilitation Services
Patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery, can benefit from
rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation refers to preventing, evaluating and treating disabilities or
limitations of mobility and function. Rehabilitation therapies are provided by
physical therapists (PT), occupational therapists (OT), and speech language
pathologists (SLP or speech therapy). The goal of rehabilitation is for people
to achieve the highest level of function possible.
While physical, occupational, and speech therapies are often provided to
patients while in hospitals or nursing homes, rehabilitation services can also
be provided on an outpatient basis at several convenient Eastern Rehabilitation
Network locations, or in your home by VNA Healthcare.
